Meeting Needs has funded the purchase of 120 desks and chairs for Break Fast Primary School, on the outskirts of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. This is just a short time after the completion of an additional classroom and refurbishment of the teachers´ accommodation, also fundedby the event industry charity foundation.
The modest cost of the furniture of £4090 works out at a mere £34 per child. “It is a tiny amount to give these kids comfort as they get an education”, said David Dodgeon, the Meeting Needs trustee who has build a relationship with the school via the Jafuta Foundation.
Half of these will service the new classroom, and the remainder will be spread around the four other classrooms where children are having to share the space.
The Jafuta Foundation´s Community Outreach Director Sipho Moyo said: “Many thanks to Meeting Needs. The 120 Desks and 120 Chairs have been delivered to Break Fast Primary School today. This will make a huge difference in the lives of Break Fast Primary School kids. This furniture will not only impact the 120 kids today but will impact generations to come. Thank you for supporting Jafuta Foundation.”
